Abstract This paper focuses on the dislocated projective synchronization (DPS) between the fractional-order and the integer-order chaotic systems. Based on the small-gain theorem, nonlinear controllers are designed to reach the DPS between the fractional-order and the integer-order chaotic systems. Numerical simulation illustrates the availability of

Abstract This chapter explores how order emerges from chaos in China’s innovation machine. It emphasizes how innovation is emergent, evolutionary, and complex and cannot be centrally planned and controlled. Innovation involves experimentation, the initial growth of which requires some protection, but the scale and scope of which can be ...

Chaotic Orderings of the Rationals and Reals
The American Mathematical Monthly, 2011In this note we prove that there is a linear ordering of the set of real numbers for which there is no monotonic 3-term arithmetic progression.

Decay of ordered and chaotic systems
Physical Review Letters, 1990We study the decay of classical systems with regular and chaotic dynamics by investigating the escape of a particle from a container with a small hole. For the case of ergodic motion, we find an exponential decay law, whereas the nonchaotic system decays according to a power law.
