Hindu Arabic character recognition using mathematical morphology
2016 IEEE 7th Annual Ubiquitous Computing, Electronics & Mobile Communication Conference (UEMCON), 2016Presentation of a novel decision tree based method to improve the ability of hand written character recognition using mathematical morphology. For this paper, classification of hand written digits is done into two groups: one with blob and another without blob.

Decomposition of Chinese character into strokes using mathematical morphology
Pattern Recognition Letters, 1999Summary: In off-line character recognition, reliable extraction of strokes greatly influences the overall performance of the system. We propose a novel method of decomposing a Chinese character into a set of strokes, based on the concepts of mathematical morphology. A character is segmented after being thinned using morphological operation.

Character Animation: An Automated Gait Cycle for 3D Characters Using Mathematical Equations
2016With the increasing importance of 3D graphics, many types of animation have evolved to perfectly simulate motion. Referring to many movies, games, etc., almost all characters undergo gait cycles. The aim of this paper is to auto-generate realistic gait cycles; thus time and effort could be saved.

CRAMM: Character recognition aided by mathematical morphology
2013 IEEE Second International Conference on Image Information Processing (ICIIP-2013), 2013A Character recognition system takes input in the form of scanned images of handwritten, printed or typewritten text and outputs some form of machine editable text. Intelligent Omni font CR systems have high degree of accuracy and are capable of producing formatted output that closely resembles the original input image.

A mathematical foundation for the analysis of cladistic character compatibility
Mathematical Biosciences, 1976Using formal algebraic definitions of “cladistic character” and “character compatibility”, the concept of “binary factors of a cladistic character” is formalized and used to describe and justify an algorithm for checking the compatibility of a set of characters.

In the preceding lectures I have laid so much stress on geometrical methods that the inquiry naturally presents itself as to the real nature and limitations of geometrical intuition.

Categorical Foundations of the Protean Character of Mathematics
1997Mathematics is protean; it is that part of science which deals with “things,” each of which can appear in many different applications. The “things” are often described as “structures”. Despite the familiar emphasis on set-theory, these structures are more than just sets; thus a group G is a set such that any two elements g and h of the group G have a ...
