On the Length of Critical Orbits of Stable Quadratic Polynomials [PDF]
We use the Weil bound of multiplicative character sums together with some recent results of N. Boston and R. Jones, to show that the critical orbit of quadratic polynomials over a finite field of $q$ elements is of length $O(q^{3/4})$, improving upon the

CHARACTER SUMS AND PAIR CORRELATIONS
Let \(p\) be a prime number, \(\chi\) a generator of the group of Dirichlet characters modulo \(p\), and let \(a_q\in\mathbb C\), \(|a_q|\leq 1\) for any ...

ABSTRACT Purpose Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common pediatric ocular cancer, yet population‐based data on survival and risk factors remain limited. This study aimed to describe survival in a large national RB cohort and identify predictors of death and complications.

Multiple Exponential and Character Sums with Monomials
We obtain new bounds of multivariate exponential sums with monomials, when the variables run over rather short intervals. Furthermore, we use the same method to derive estimates on similar sums with multiplicative characters to which previously known ...

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

Some New Identities Related to Dedekind Sums Modulo a Prime
The main purpose of this article is to use some identities of the classical Gauss sums, the properties of character sums, and Dedekind sums (modulo an odd prime) to study the computational problem of one-kind mean values related to Dedekind sums and give

Character sums associated to finite Coxeter groups
We prove a character sum identity for Coxeter arrangements which is a finite field analogue of Macdonald's conjecture proved by Opdam.Comment: 20 pages, to appear in Transactions of the A.M.

An estimate for character sums [PDF]
Let \(F\) be a finite field and \(E=F(x)\) an extension of degree \(n\). Let \(\chi\) be a nonprincipal character of \(E\). The author deduces from Weil's theorem that \[ S=| \sum_{t\in F}\chi (t-x)| \leq (n-1)\sqrt{\#F}, \] and a generalization of this inequality. This improves the estimate (for \(F\) a prime-field) \(S=0(\#F^{1-(n+1)})\) obtained by \

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

On the Quartic Residues and Their New Distribution Properties
In this paper, we use the analytic methods, the properties of the fourth-order characters, and the estimate for character sums to study the computational problems of one kind of special quartic residues modulo p, and give an exact calculation formula and
