Impedance as a characteristic of relaxation polarization

Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics, 2014
The electrical characteristics of a dielectric material that can be used to determine the parameters of relaxation polarization arising in a dielectric and the influence on these characteristics of the steady leakage electrical conductivity are discussed.

The impedance characteristic of NRD wavewide

[Conference Digest] International Conference on Millimeter Wave and Far-Infrared Technology: ICMWFT '90, 2005
This paper analyzes the impedance characteristic of a new Lransmission line-NRD waveguide and gives varied relations between some elements and Line impedance. The results obtained point out the way of realizing impedance matching.

Characteristics of Impedance for Plasma Antenna

2013
Impedance analysis is very important for antenna design. In this chapter, the internal impedance of the plasma antenna is analyzed by building the model of high-frequency electromagnetic waves acting with plasma. At the same time, a model of surface current for plasma antenna is developed in accordance with the eigenvalue equation of guided mode, and ...

Characteristic impedance of microstrip on silicon

IEEE 8th Topical Meeting on Electrical Performance of Electronic Packaging (Cat. No.99TH8412), 2003
In this paper, we compare the power-voltage, power-current, and causal definitions of the characteristic impedance of microstrip transmission lines on silicon substrates.

Impedance characteristics of a modified electrode

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1986
Abstract Impedance measurements have been made on a graphic electrode covered by poly(4-vinylpyridine) films containing IrCl 2− 6 / IrCl 3− 6 species. The results obtained can be accounted for qualitatively by a simple redox couple model. However, the quantitative agreement is not good and indicates that refinements to the simple model will be ...

Wave Speed and Characteristic Impedance

2010
Wave speed, c, and characteristic impedance, Z c , are two important vessel parameters determining its wave transmission and reflection properties. These two quantities can be derived from so-called wave transmission theory, in analogy to what happens in telegraph lines, or antenna cables, for the transmission of electromagnetic waves.

IMPEDANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF LOADED LECHER SYSTEMS

Physics, 1932
Simple formulas are developed for the impedance of short lengths of Lecher system terminated by resistances. This impedance is most simply expressible as a multiple of the surge impedance. The variation of impedance with system length is traced and certain simple relationships are found.

Impedance characteristics of series slots

Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1974
The nature of an equivalent network of slots having any arbitrary orientation in the broad wall of a rectangular waveguide, for both even and odd distributions of the aperture field, has been investigated. The complex power radiated by the slot has been determined from the angular spectrum of plane waves. The impedance characteristics of the transverse

Characteristic Impedance of Fin-Lines

12th European Microwave Conference, 1982, 1982
A simple method is outlined to calculate the characteristic impedance of both unilateral and bilateral fin-lines. The results agree well with measurements reported in the literature. The characteristic impedance is related to slot width, location of the slot, relative dielectric constant, and frequency.

Computation of causal characteristic impedances

2000 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.00CH37017), 2002
We develop a numerical method of determining the magnitude of characteristic impedance required by causal power-normalized circuit theories from its phase using a Hilbert-transform relationship. We also estimate the uncertainty in the method.
