Characteristics of periodically loaded CPW structures
IEEE Microwave and Guided Wave Letters, 1998A capacitively loaded coplanar waveguide (CPW) resonator has been studied. It has been shown that the proposed resonator can be used to achieve a slow-wave effect without occupying extra surface area and it has a good performance as compared with the conventional half-wavelength CPW resonator.

Age Period Cohort Characteristic Models
Social Science Research, 2000Abstract Age Period Cohort Characteristic (APCC) models provide a powerful method for testing theories that involve age, period, and cohort effects, but much of that power remains unrecognized. Studies that use this method almost always focus on a single explanatory cohort characteristic and control for only age groups and periods.

Guiding characteristics of periodic impedance surface
ICMMT 2000. 2000 2nd International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology Proceedings (Cat. No.00EX364), 2002In this paper, we present a systematic analysis of the dispersion characteristics of two-dimensionally periodic impedance surfaces. The method of mode matching is employed analyze the boundary-value problem rigorously in terms of the complete set of both TE- and TM-polarized plane waves in the uniform medium above the impedance surface.

Characteristics of resonant periodic orbits
Astrophysics and Space Science, 1982We study the families of periodic orbits in a time-independent two-dimensional potential field symmetric with respect to both axes. By numerical calculations we find characteristic curves of several families of periodic orbits when the ratio of the unperturbed frequencies isA1/2/B1/2=2/1.

Characteristics of periodically domain-inverted LiTaO3
Journal of Applied Physics, 1992A periodically domain-inverted structure in LiTaO3 has been fabricated for quasiphase-matched (QPM) second-harmonic generation (SHG). Uniform proton exchange is achieved with pyrophosphoric acid. Using this technique with a Ta mask followed by heat treatment, the periodically domain-inverted structure for quasiphase matching is realized over large ...

Spectral characteristics of period doubled phonation
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2006Period doubling (also called subharmonic phonation, bifurcated phonation, F0 series) occurs frequently in both pathological and normal phonation. In this kind of phonation, the most obvious acoustic characteristic is that vocal pulses appear in pairs, with alternate pulses differing in period and often in amplitude. Attempts at modeling period doubling

Filter characteristics of periodic chiral layers
Pure and Applied Optics: Journal of the European Optical Society Part A, 1994Filter characteristics of an infinite structure consisting of periodic layers of chiral media are investigated and it is shown that with a proper choice of the ratio of chirality admittances of the two layers in a unit cell, the location of the centre of the pass and stop bands and their bandwidths can be significantly altered and controlled.

Calculation of Characteristic Values for Periodic Potentials
Physical Review, 1933Section II reviews the general properties of the solutions of differential equations with periodic coefficients, the socalled Hill and Mathieu equations. In Section III asymptotic formulae for the eigenvalues of the Mathieu equation in the oscillatory region (Eq.
