Multiplexed Detection of Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Campylobacter, and Listeria in Raw Poultry
The detection of foodborne pathogens is a critical aspect of ensuring food safety. Traditional methods rely on time-intensive enrichment steps and pathogen-specific assays, extending testing timelines and limiting throughput.

Functional Polymers and Polymeric Materials From Renewable Alpha-Unsaturated Gamma-Butyrolactones
Sustainable chemistry requires application of green processes and often starting materials originate from renewable resources. Biomass-derived monomers based on five-membered γ-butyrolactone ring represent suitable candidates to replace sources of fossil

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Lithium Growth on Alloying Substrates and Effect on Volumetric Expansion
The widespread implementation of next-generation Li metal anodes is limited, in part, due to the formation of dendritic and/or mossy electrodeposits during cycling. These morphologies can lead to battery failure due to the formation of short circuits and
