Fuzzy subgroups: Some characterizations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1987
The author considers fuzzy groups on a finite group and examines an equivalence relation between them: possession of the same family of level subgroups. The paper gives some refinements of results and proofs of \textit{P. S. Das} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 84, 264--269 (1981; Zbl 0476.20002)]. This paper was continued [cf. Part II, Inf. Sci.

Health‐Related Quality of Life and Symptom Severity Among Patients With PIK3CA‐Related Overgrowth Spectrum: A Mixed‐Methods Study to Understand Real‐World Experience With Alpelisib Treatment

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background PIK3CA‐related overgrowth spectrum (PROS) includes several rare overgrowth disorders resulting from somatic gain‐of‐function mutations in PIK3CA. Despite treatment advances, including the recent approval of alpelisib for PROS in the United States, literature detailing the patient experience with PROS is limited.

Characterizing Subgroups of Type 1 Diabetes [PDF]

open access: yesDiabetes, 2014
The prevailing model of type 1 diabetes (T1D) evolution is based on a now classic 1986 article by the late George Eisenbarth (1). A recent review noted that although the model still holds to a large extent, there are subtleties that suggest it is not as simple as originally proposed (2).

Venous Thromboembolism in Pediatric Bone Sarcoma Patients: A 10‐Year, Single‐Institution Experience Encompassing the COVID‐19 Pandemic

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Osteosarcoma (OS) and Ewing sarcoma (EWS) are the most common primary bone cancers in children, but acute thrombosis is poorly characterized in this population. Our study evaluated the rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and associated risk factors in pediatric patients with bone sarcomas treated over a 10‐year period encompassing

Identification and Characterization of Recombinant Subgroup J Avian Leukosis Viruses (ALV) Expressing Subgroup A ALV Envelope

open access: yes, 2000
Three recombinant avian leukosis subgroup J viruses, ADOL 5701A, ADOL 5701AΔ, and ADOL 6803A, carrying a subgroup A envelope have been isolated and characterized.

On characterized subgroups of compact abelian groups

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 2013
A subgroup \(H\) of a topological abelian group \(X\) is called characterized if there exists a sequence \(\mathfrak{u}=\{u_n\}\) of characters of \(X\) such that \(H=s_{\mathfrak{u}}(X)\), where \(s_{\mathfrak{u}}(X):=\{x\in X| (u_n,x)\to 0 \text{ in } \mathbb{T}\}\) and \(\mathbb T\) is the group of reals modulo \(\mathbb Z\).

Claudin‐6 Protein Expression in Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumors Is Strongly Enriched in the Molecular Subgroup AT/RT‐TYR

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Claudin‐6 has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic target, yet protein‐level data in atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors (AT/RTs) have been inconsistent. We analyzed 36 well‐characterized AT/RT samples and found membranous claudin‐6 protein expression in 58% of cases, with striking enrichment in the molecular subgroup AT/RT‐TYR (100%) and ...

Co-maximal subgroup graph characterized by forbidden subgraphs

open access: yes, 2023
In this communication, the co-maximal subgroup graph $\Gamma(G)$ of a finite group $G$ is examined when $G$ is a finite nilpotent group, finite abelian group, dihedral group $D_n$, dicyclic group $Q_{2^n}$, and $p$-group.

Time Toxicity in Wilms Tumor: Quantifying the Burden of Healthcare Interaction in the First Year After Diagnosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...
