The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Study of charge collection probability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The performance of electronic devices can be determined by the properties of the transport carriers inside the materials. The transport and the collection of the minority charge carrier play a significant role on the functionality and performance of ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Impact of Temperature and Supply Voltage on Single Event Upset Characterization of Flip-flop in a 22 nm FDSOI Technology

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu
Temperature and supply voltage emerge as critical factors influencing single event upset (SEU) responses in nano-scale fully depleted silicon-on-insulator (FDSOI) technology.

The effect of titanium (IV) chloride surface treatment to enhance charge transport and performance of dye-sensitized solar cell

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
In this study, the photovoltaic and electrochemical characteristics of the dye-sensitised solar cell (DSSC) after titanium (IV) chloride (TiCl4) treatment on a TiO2 photoelectrode were investigated.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Charge transport in semi insulating bulk 4H-Silicon carbide: Effect of metallization and wafer homogeneity

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2022
We investigated the effect of metallization and spatial homogeneity on the charge collection of sensors prepared from high purity semi-insulating 4H-SiC bulk wafer. We used Au, Ni, Cr or graphene electrical contacts subsequently prepared on the same chip.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Modeling of ballistic and trapping effects on the collection efficiency of holes and electrons separately for a planar mercuric iodide detector (HgI2)

open access: yesJournal of Radiation Research and Applied Sciences, 2016
For the room temperature nuclear detector application, signal created in the detector depends not only to the energy of the incident photon but also to the position of the interaction.

In Situ Collection of Nanoparticles during Femtosecond Laser Machining in Air

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
Nanoparticles generated during laser material processing are often seen as annoying side products, yet they might find useful application upon proper collection.
