Charge-injection instability in perfect insulators [PDF]
We show that in a macroscopic perfect insulator, charge injection at a field-enhancing defect is associated with an instability of the insulating state or with bistability of the insulating and the charged state. The effect of a nonlinear carrier mobility is emphasized.

A low-power low-error single-ended virtually-grounded-drain class AB switched-current memory cell [PDF]
A low-power low-error single-ended virtually-grounded-drain class AB switched-current memory cell is presented. The proposed circuit is relatively simple, based on a basic class AB SI memory cell and a levelshiftedgrounded-gate amplifier.

Charge transport mechanisms in corona charged polymeric materials
Polymeric materials have been widely used as an insulator due to their excellent electrical properties, light weight and low cost. Surface potential measurement is one of the simplest and low cost tools to gauge electrical properties of materials.

Josephson Junction as a Detector of Poissonian Charge Injection [PDF]
We propose a scheme of measuring the non-Gaussian character of noise by a hysteretic Josephson junction in the macroscopic quantum tunnelling (MQT) regime. We model the detector as an (under)damped $LC$ resonator. It transforms Poissonian charge injection into current through the detector, which samples the injection statistics over a floating time ...
