Temperature-dependent charge transport in solution-processed perovskite solar cells with tunable trap concentration and charge recombination

open access: yes, 2017
Based on control of the perovskite film thickness, we investigate temperature-dependent charge carrier transport, recombination, traps, and solar cell behavior based on methylammonium lead triiodide films.

Pressure‐Assisted Dimensional Transformation of 2D Hydrogenated Borophene into 0D Boron Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrogenated borophene (HB) is transformed into distinct boron nanostructures through a solvent‐free thermal process. Under flowing nitrogen, hydrogen escape promotes reconstruction into B2O3 nanoplatelets, whereas hydrogen‐induced pressure under sealed conditions facilitates fragmentation into boron quantum dots.

Charge generation and recombination in diketopyrrolopyrrole polymer: Fullerene bulk heterojunctions studied by transient absorption and time-resolved microwave conductivity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Charge generation and recombination dynamics in organic photovoltaic bulk heterojunction films comprising the donor polymer, PDPP-TNT (poly{3,6-dithiophene-2-yl-2,5-di(2-octyldodecyl)-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4-dione-alt-naphthalene}), blended with the ...

High‐Efficiency Deep Blue Single‐Gaussian Europium(II) Emitters and Their Emitter‐Host Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Crown‐ether ligands and carborate anions enable vacuum‐processable Eu(II) emitters with efficient single‐Gaussian deep‐blue luminescence. Combined photophysical and computational analyses reveal that excited‐electron confinement and steric shielding of the europium center jointly govern compatibility with OLED host materials, establishing molecular ...

Theory of the charge recombination reaction rate in dye sensitised solar cells [PDF]

open access: yes
In this thesis we present a theoretical approach to the study of the charge recombination reaction in dye sensitised solar cells. An expression for the charge transfer rate at the semiconductor-molecule interface has been derived in chapter 2, within ...

Myogenic Fusogen‐Engineered Lipid Nanoparticles Enhance mRNA Delivery in Skeletal Muscle

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports a biomimetic strategy of engineering full‐length Myomaker, a muscle‐specific fusogen, into lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) to harness the native myoblast fusion capability for skeletal muscle mRNA delivery. The resulting Mymk‐LNPs enhance transfection in differentiating myocytes and enable Cre‐mediated reporter activation in injured ...

Properties of charge recombination in liquid argon

open access: yesPhysical Review D
Liquid argon is an excellent medium for detecting particles, given its yields and transport properties of light and charge. The technology of liquid argon time projection chambers has reached its full maturity after four decades of continuous developments and is, or will be, used in world class experiments for neutrino and dark matter searches.

Recombination in enteroviruses is a biphasic replicative process involving the generation of greater-than genome length 'imprecise' intermediates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Recombination in enteroviruses provides an evolutionary mechanism for acquiring extensive regions of novel sequence, is suggested to have a role in genotype diversity and is known to have been key to the emergence of novel neuropathogenic variants of ...
