Resistor-less charge sensitive amplifier for semiconductor detectors

open access: greenNuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2016
Abstract A new concept of a Charge Sensitive Amplifier without a high-value resistor in the feedback loop is presented. Basic spectroscopic parameters of the amplifier coupled to a coaxial High Purity Germanium detector (HPGe) are discussed. The amplifier signal input is realized with an n-channel J-FET transistor.

Charge-sensitive amplifier

open access: greenTekhnologiya i Konstruirovanie v Elektronnoi Apparature, 2008
The authors consider design and circuit design techniques of reduction of the influence of the pyroelectric effect on operation of the charge sensitive amplifiers. The presented experimental results confirm the validity of the measures taken to reduce the impact of pyroelectric currents.

Note: A charge sensitive spectroscopy amplifier for position sensitive micro-channel plate detectors

open access: goldReview of Scientific Instruments, 2014
A compact and low noise charge sensitive spectroscopy amplifier which can be integrated into position sensitive micro-channel plate (MCP) detectors has been constructed. The amplifier was optimized by using a wave form generator and tested by a chevron shape MCP detector.

Design of a charge-sensitive amplifier for MEMS piezoelectric hydrophone [PDF]

open access: diamondJournal of Physics: Conference Series
Abstract Hydrophone is an important part of sonar system and convert acoustic signal into electrical signal. However, the electrical signal generated by the hydrophone is relatively weak and cannot be directly used for underwater detection and communication. Therefore, it is necessary to preprocess the generated electrical signal.

A 0.35μm Low-Noise Stable Charge Sensitive Amplifier for Silicon Detectors Applications

open access: goldInformacije MIDEM - Journal of Microelectronics, Electronic Components and Materials, 2020
The Charge Sensitive Amplifier (CSA) is the key module of the front-end electronics of various types of Silicon detectors and most radiation detection systems. High gain, stability, and low input noise are the major concerns of a typical CSA circuit in order to achieve amplified susceptible input charge (current) for further processing.

Design of a charge sensitive spectroscopy amplifier for Compton camera [PDF]

open access: diamondJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2017
A charge sensitive spectroscopy amplifier has been designed to couple with the silicon strip detector of a Compton camera. The amplifier was optimized by using a wave form generator and the output gain of 1012V/C was achieved when the shaping time is 1μs.
