Measuring Charge Transport in an Amorphous Semiconductor Using Charge Sensing

open access: yes, 2009
We measure charge transport in hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) using a nanometer scale silicon MOSFET as a charge sensor. This charge detection technique makes possible the measurement of extremely large resistances.

Surface flashover in 50 years: Theoretical models and competing mechanisms

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2023
Surface flashover is a devastating electronic avalanche along the gas–solid interface when a high electric field is applied, which is a potential issue that threatens the safe operations of advanced power electronic, electrical, and spacecraft ...

Quantum Transport in Molecular Rings and Chains

open access: yes, 1999
We study charge transport driven by deformations in molecular rings and chains. Level crossings and the associated Longuet-Higgins phase play a central role in this theory.

DFT Characteristics of Charge Transport in DBTP-Based Hole Transport Materials

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
To improve the hole-transport ability and photoelectric properties of perovskite solar cells, the ground-state geometry, frontier molecular orbital, and mobility of two organic molecules were investigated using density functional theory (DFT) with the ...

Insight on charge-transfer regimes in electron-phonon coupled molecular systems via numerically exact simulations

open access: yesCommunications Physics, 2023
Various simulation approaches exist to describe charge transport in organic solids, offering significantly different descriptions of the physics of electron-phonon coupling.

Charged solitons in branched conducting polymers

open access: yes, 2018
We consider dynamics of charged solitons in branched conducting polymers. An effective model based on the sine-Gordon equation on metric graphs is used for computing the charge transport and scattering of charge carriers at the polymer branching points ...

Spin Transport in a Mott Insulator of Ultracold Fermions

open access: yes, 2019
Strongly correlated materials are expected to feature unconventional transport properties, such that charge, spin, and heat conduction are potentially independent probes of the dynamics.

Two distinctive regimes in the charge transport of a magnetic topological ultra thin film

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
The effect of the magnetic impurities on the charge transport in a magnetic topological ultra-thin film (MTF) is analytically investigated by applying the semi-classical Boltzmann framework through a modified relaxation-time approximation.

All About the Interface: Do Residual Contaminants at A High‐Quality h‐BN Monolayer Perylene Diimide Interface Cause Charge Trapping?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, 2022
Intrinsic charge transport in molecularly thin organic semiconducting crystals is critically sensitive to the quality of the interfaces required to perform the electrical measurements.

Charge Carrier Transport in Metal Phthalocyanine Based Disordered Thin Films

open access: yes, 2006
The charge carrier transport in metal phthallocyanine based disordered thin films has been investigated. Charge carrier mobility in these disordered thin films strongly depends on the electric field and temperature due to hopping conduction.
