Investigation and modelling of the electrical charging effect in birch wood above the fibre saturation point (FSP)

open access: yesMetsanduslikud Uurimused, 2022
Wood moisture content (MC) has a significant impact on all electrical properties of wood. Regarding the development of the (so-called polarization-type) wood moisture meter with the electrical charging effect for monitoring and controlling the wood ...

Electroactive Metal–Organic Frameworks Enabling Unidirectional Electrochemical Capacitors and Logic Gates (MOF‐CAPode)

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 23, 1 June 2026.
MOF‐CAPodes are introduced by pairing various p‐MOFs with an n‐MOF as electrode materials in a battery‐like assembly. The devices achieve high figures of merit (RRI = 23.5; RRII = 94.4%) and perform excellently in prototypical logic gates (AND, OR) highlighting a new direction for ionological systems based on electroactive MOFs.

Chemically Chargeable Photo Battery

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2015
Here we show a surrogate strategy for power production, wherein light is used to actuate a discharge chemistry in the cathode of an aqueous rechargeable battery (ARB). The proposed photo battery consists of a titanium nitride photoanode, promising cathode material iron(III) hexacyanoferrate(II) as the battery active species and Na2S2O8 as the chemical ...

A cooperative biphasic MoO x –MoP x promoter enables a fast-charging lithium-ion battery

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
Fast-charging of lithium-ion batteries is hindered by the uncontrollable plating of metallic Li on the graphite anode during cycling. Here, the authors demonstrate the fast chargeability and long cycle lifetimes via surface engineering of graphite with a
