Diversity in the outcome of dust radial drift in protoplanetary discs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The growth of dust particles into planet embryos needs to circumvent the radial-drift barrier, i.e. the accretion of dust particles onto the central star by radial migration. The outcome of the dust radial migration is governed by simple criteria between

Scaling forces to asteroid surfaces: The role of cohesion

open access: yes, 2010
The scaling of physical forces to the extremely low ambient gravitational acceleration regimes found on the surfaces of small asteroids is performed. Resulting from this, it is found that van der Waals cohesive forces between regolith grains on asteroid ...

Charge-discharge during pile operation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1955
This document presents a general analysis of charge-discharge during pile operation. It is not a detailed technical, operational, economic, or political analysis but, rather an attempt to cover the subject with a broader viewpoint than is usually prsented in the many detailed reports which have been written in the past five years.

Electric vehicle optimal scheduling method considering charging piles matching based on edge intelligence

open access: yesiEnergy
To adress the problems of insufficient consideration of charging pile resource limitations, discrete-time scheduling methods that do not meet the actual demand and insufficient descriptions of peak-shaving response capability in current electric vehicle (

Benefit allocation model of distributed photovoltaic power generation vehicle shed and energy storage charging pile based on integrated weighting-Shapley method

open access: yesGlobal Energy Interconnection, 2020
In this study, to develop a benefit-allocation model, in-depth analysis of a distributed photovoltaic-power-generation carport and energy-storage charging-pile project was performed; the model was developed using Shapley integrated-empowerment benefit ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
