CHATTER DETECTION USING SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE

The paper presents a methodology for chatter detection based on machine learning. The machining of an internal cone was performed on a CNC lathe, with several different steps varied during the process. Concurrently with the machining, acceleration was measured using an accelerometer in the direction of the penetration force.
