Real-space spectral simulation of quantum spin models: Application to generalized Kitaev models

open access: yesSciPost Physics Core
The proliferation of quantum fluctuations and long-range entanglement presents an outstanding challenge for the numerical simulation of interacting spin systems with exotic ground states. Here, we present a toolset of Chebyshev polynomial-based iterative

Numerical approaches to time evolution of complex quantum systems

open access: yes, 2009
We examine several numerical techniques for the calculation of the dynamics of quantum systems. In particular, we single out an iterative method which is based on expanding the time evolution operator into a finite series of Chebyshev polynomials.

Chebyshev Polynomials on a System of Continua [PDF]

open access: yesConstructive Approximation, 2015
The estimates of the uniform norm of the Chebyshev polynomial associated with a compact set $K$ consisting of a finite number of continua in the complex plane are established. These estimates are exact (up to a constant factor) in the case where the components of $K$ are either quasismooth (in the sense of Lavrentiev) arcs or closed Jordan domains ...

Modified Chebyshev collocation method for delayed predator–prey system [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
AbstractIn this study, the approximate solutions of the predator–prey system with delay have been obtained by using the modified Chebyshev collocation method. The main technique is that this method transforms the original problem into a system of nonlinear algebraic equations. By using the residual function of the operator equations, error differential

Hypersingular Integral Equations Encountered in Problems of Mechanics

open access: yesMathematics
In the paper, for hypersingular integral equations with new kernels, a solution is constructed using an approach based on Chebyshev orthogonal polynomials and the principle of contraction mappings.

Numerical solution for the time-fractional Fokker–Planck equation via shifted Chebyshev polynomials of the fourth kind

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
This paper provides a numerical approach for solving the time-fractional Fokker–Planck equation (FFPE). The authors use the shifted Chebyshev collocation method and the finite difference method (FDM) to present the fractional Fokker–Planck equation into ...

Parallel eigensolvers in plane-wave Density Functional Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the problem of parallelizing electronic structure computations in plane-wave Density Functional Theory. Because of the limited scalability of Fourier transforms, parallelism has to be found at the eigensolver level.

Convex structures induced by Chebyshev systems

open access: yesIndagationes Mathematicae, 2017
Recent developments have clarified that some tools of convex geometry are closely related to separation theorems obtained in the field of functional inequalities. This phenomenon has motivated the authors for the investigation of convex structures induced by Chebyshev systems.

Bottom‐Up Programming of Cell States in Cancer Organoids with Defined Synthetic Adhesion Cues

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A bottom‐up biomaterial platform is developed to program transcriptomic states in pancreatic cancer organoids by tuning adhesion cues within synthetic matrices. By combining a Design of Experiments framework with multiobjective optimization, matrix compositions are identified that enrich specific cellular programs like EMT.
