Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

This table of contents illustrates that the mechanism for mitigating Sr segregation depends strongly on the chemistry of the coating layer. HfO2 electrostatically stabilizes the surface by lowering the surface oxygen vacancies, which serve as the driving force for Sr migration. On the other hand, Al2O3 and Fe2O3 react with segregated Sr to form Sr‐Al‐O

Spin‐Dependent Photoluminescence in Carbon‐Based Quantum Dots
Here we report, for the first time, room‐temperature magneto‐photoluminescence and optically detected electron spin‐resonance in carbon quantum dots (CQD). We perform measurements on a series of amino acid derived CQD at room temperature and demonstrate their sensing potential by detecting paramagnetic molecules in solution.
