Physical and chemical properties of hybrid barrier coatings obtained in an atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge

Journal Physics D: Applied Physics, 2005
The aim of this work is to develop barrier coatings by using an atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). For this purpose the plasma polymers obtained from a hybrid organic–inorganic precursor compound as well as from a purely organic compound were compared.

Physical and chemical properties of low-pressure argon-chlorine dielectric barrier discharge

Physics of Plasmas, 2016
The influence of adding chlorine on the characteristics of a dielectric barrier discharge in Argon is investigated on the basis of a one-dimensional fluid model. The spatio-temporal characteristics of the discharge are obtained by applying a sinusoidal voltage with a frequency and amplitude of 7 kHz and 350 V, respectively.

Methods to control ectomycorrhizal colonization: effectiveness of chemical and physical barriers

Mycorrhiza, 2006
We conducted greenhouse experiments using Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii var. glauca) seedlings where chemical methods (fungicides) were used to prevent ectomycorrhizal colonization of single seedlings or physical methods (mesh barriers) were used to prevent formation of mycorrhizal connections between neighboring seedlings.
