A Material‐Agnostic Strategy for Uniform Patterning of Conjugated Polymers Unveils the True Role of Porosity in Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A generalizable strategy for fabricating regular porous, chemically intact conjugated polymer channels reveals how porosity benefits organic electrochemical transistors. Composition‐dependent performance enhancement is linked to charge carrier mobility, volumetric capacitance, and effective doped volume.

Electrochromism in tungsten oxide thin films prepared by chemical bath deposition

open access: yesJournal of Electrochemical Science and Engineering, 2017
Tungsten oxide (WO3) thin films were prepared by a simple, economical, chemical bath deposition method onto fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) coated glass substrates. The electrochemical properties of the films were characterized by cyclic voltammetry.

Advancements in Hypersaline Wastewater Treatment: The Promise of Quasi‐Liquid Surfaces to Reduce Salt Scaling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Durable quasi‐liquid polymer brush surfaces provide an anti‐scaling strategy for hypersaline brine evaporation and zero‐liquid‐discharge desalination. The smooth, liquid‐like QLS interface suppresses substrate‐side salt nucleation, promotes compact crystallization and dewetting, reduces crystal–surface contact area, and enables low‐adhesion salt ...

Two stage chemical bath deposition of MoO3 nanorod films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Thin films of hexagonal MoO3 nanorods are deposited by chemical bath deposition from a highly acidic aqueous solution containing ammonium heptamolybdate at 85 degrees C.

Giant Electrostriction in Halide Perovskites Revisited With Double‐Modulation Interferometry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A giant electrostrictive effect in lead halide perovskites had been reported previously. This work uses sensitive interferometry to measure the electromechanical response of various halide perovskite samples. The results reveal no intrinsic electrostrictive compression. Instead, the materials expand primarily under an applied electric field as a result

Effect of Deposition Time on the Optoelectronic Properties of CdS Thin Films Synthesized via Chemical Bath Deposition Technique [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Access
Cadmium sulphide (CdS) thin films were synthesized via chemical bath deposition (CBD) to investigate the influence of deposition time on their optoelectronic properties. The films were deposited at 80 °C for durations ranging from 5 to 30 minutes. Film

Polarization‐Dependent Synaptic‐Like Electro‐Optical Response in Ferroelectric Nematic Liquid Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric nematic liquid crystals (FNLCs) offer fast, tunable polarization and low‐voltage operation but suffer from poor polarization retention at zero field. Semiconductor‐modified FNLCs enhance polarization retention and exhibit short‐ and long‐term electro‐optical responses, while also supporting spike‐type signal integrations.

Thin Films with Low Zn Content Prepared by Chemical Bath Deposition

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2012
Chemical bath deposition (CBD) was used for the growth of thin films with low Zn content. The influence of preparation conditions, such as pH, temperature, and concentration, on film properties was investigated.

Charge Generation and Recombination Pathways in All‐Polymer Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multimodal spectroscopy and device analysis reveal how field‐dependent charge generation, transport limitations, and non‐geminate recombination govern performance losses in all polymer solar cells. The results identify the key processes controlling charge extraction and recombination, providing insights for the design of more efficient all‐polymer ...
