Chemical vapour deposition [PDF]

open access: yesNature Reviews Methods Primers, 2021
Chemical vapour deposition (CVD) is a powerful technology for producing high-quality solid thin films and coatings. Although widely used in modern industries, it is continuously being developed as it is adapted to new materials. Today, CVD synthesis is being pushed to new heights with the precise manufacturing of both inorganic thin films of 2D ...

Deposition of La2Zr2O7 film by chemical solution deposition [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology, 2010
La2Zr2O7 (LZO) formation of bulk powders and of films by Chemical Solution Deposition (CSD) process have been studied using propionates. The treatment involved a one step cycle in the reducing forming gas (Ar-5%H2) to be compatible with Ni-5at%W RABITS. Large amount of residual carbon was found in LZO powders formed in these conditions (10 wt %).

Augmentation of wear-protective coatings for non-ferrous alloys by the addition of Cr and Ni elements [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2014
A number of Al-, Mg- and Ti-base alloys were preconditioned by oxidation via Plasma-electrolytic oxidation (PEO) followed by the addition of Cr and Ni elements in the coating pores by chemical precipitation and a final stage of mechanical treatment.
