In this study, an efficient screening system is developed for plant metabolites to find a compound, 7‐epi‐10‐deacetyltaxol, inhibits tissue elongation. It suppresses plant growth through brassinosteroid and microtubule pathways. It is later applied to animal cells and human tumor organoids, resulting in similar cell division suppression. These findings

Microbial Symbiosis in Lepidoptera: Analyzing the Gut Microbiota for Sustainable Pest Management
Recent advances in microbiome studies have deepened our understanding of endosymbionts and gut-associated microbiota in host biology. Of those, lepidopteran systems in particular harbor a complex and diverse microbiome with various microbial taxa that ...

A deep‐learning‐designed binder is fused to a combinatorial degron to create a binder‐degron chimera (bdC) that recruits the CUL2‐RING ubiquitin ligase complex. Encapsulation in a prostate‐cancer‐targeted, CD47‐camouflaged nanocarrier enables tumor‐specific in situ bdC expression, triggering GPX4 degradation and ferroptosis, thereby establishing a ...

In Situ CO2‐Induced Hydrogels for Enhancing Carbon Sequestration in Saline Aquifers
A novel integrated method that combines in situ CO2‐induced phase‐transition hydrogels formed by a C22‐tailed tertiary amine dispersion with tailored deep eutectic solvents to increase CO2 sequestration in saline aquifers. ABSTRACT Carbon sequestration in saline aquifers underpins global net‑zero emission goals, yet existing CO2 storage capacity ...

Scalable Fabrication of MOF Glass Membranes for Gas Separation via Stepwise Phase Transition
Metal‐organic framework (MOF) glass membranes, with their excellent processability and permanent pore structure, have great potential for gas separation applications. However, during large‐scale fabrication, defects and obvious cracks are prone to occur due to the limitations of powder processing.

Chemical control: Insecticides when properly applied will give effective commercial control of pest
Under conditions of high populations, the yellow clover aphid—easy to kill by insecticide applications—is difficult to control because of rapid reinfestation.

ADDITIVE VERSUS PROPORTIONAL PEST DAMAGE FUNCTIONS: WHY ECOLOGY MATTERS [PDF]
Economic analyses of pests typically assume damage is either additively separable from pest free yield or proportional to it. This paper describes the ecological assumptions required for additive and proportional damage functions to demonstrate that both

Orthogonal Light‐ and Enzyme‐Triggered and‐Gate Prodrugs for Senolytic Therapy
An orthogonal AND‐gate prodrug platform combines 390 nm near‐UV photocleavage with SA‐β‐gal activation to control payload release in senescent cells. Its modular architecture enables 4‐MU fluorescence, doxorubicin‐mediated cytotoxicity, and ARV‐771‐driven BRD4 degradation, supporting stimulus‐controlled senolytic design in cellular and organoid models.
