Enhancing properties of iron and manganese ores as oxygen carriers for chemical looping processes by dry impregnation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The use of naturally occurring ores as oxygen carriers in CLC processes is attractive because of their relative abundance and low cost. Unfortunately, they typically exhibit lower reactivity and lack the mechanical robustness required, when compared to ...

Chemical Bonding by the Chemical Orthogonal Space of Reactivity [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2020
The fashionable Parr–Pearson (PP) atoms-in-molecule/bonding (AIM/AIB) approach for determining the exchanged charge necessary for acquiring an equalized electronegativity within a chemical bond is refined and generalized here by introducing the concepts of chemical power within the chemical orthogonal space (COS) in terms of electronegativity and ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Biological and structural properties’ interpretation on antitumour drug 3-(2-aminoethyl) indole (tryptamine) using molecular spectroscopy and computational tools

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2019
In this work, the known and unknown structural as well as biological properties of 3-(2-aminoethyl) indole (tryptamine) were interpreted using molecular spectroscopy (FT-IR, FT-Raman, NMR and UV–Visible) and cheminformatic tools.

Structural, spectral, biological and antioxidant analyses of baicalin and ıts vanadium complexes: a dft study

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2020
Molecular simulation analyses of baicalin and its vanadium complexes were done at B3LYP/6-31+G(d) and B3LYP/ANL2DZ levels, respectively. The conformer analyses were performed for baicalin and the most stable one is determined at OPLS3e method by using ...

Characterization of Dimethylsulfoxide / Glycerol Mixtures: A Binary Solvent System for the Study of "Friction-Dependent" Chemical Reactivity

open access: yes, 2016
The properties of binary mixtures of dimethylsulfoxide and glycerol, measured by several techniques, are reported. Special attention is given to those properties contributing or affecting chemical reactions.

Winter ozone formation and VOC incremental reactivities in the Upper Green River Basin of Wyoming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The Upper Green River Basin (UGRB) in Wyoming experiences ozone episodes in the winter when the air is relatively stagnant and the ground is covered by snow.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Quantum Indistinguishability in Chemical Reactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Quantum indistinguishability plays a crucial role in many low-energy physical phenomena, from quantum fluids to molecular spectroscopy. It is, however, typically ignored in most high temperature processes, particularly for ionic coordinates, implicitly ...
