Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Analytical Chemistry, 1989The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the breadth of applications served by waveguides as chemical sensors and to provide a brief tour of current implementation techniques. After a short review of how waveguides work, some current case histories are presented dealing with practical analytical situations that may help stimulate problem solving.
