Soil Properties and their Influence on Grassland Production under Low Input and Organic Farming Conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
End of project reportThis project set out to identify soil properties that most influence grassland production under low mineral nitrogen input conditions. Sixteen farms were selected in Counties Limerick and Clare and the soil sampled. Soil physical and

Multi‐Enzyme Mimetic Molybdenum Nitride Nanozymes Reshape Subgingival Microenvironment for Synergistic Periodontitis Therapy via ROS Regulation and Microbiome Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...

Organic residues - a resource for arable soils [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
An increased recirculation of urban organic residues to arable soils has several environmental benefits, but there is a need for reliable test systems to ensure that soil quality is maintained.

Metabologenomic Hallmark‐Based Discovery of Bacterial Thioamides as a New Lead against Drug‐Resistant Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A targeted metabologenomic strategy integrating genomic and metabolomic hallmarks enabled the discovery of two new thioamides, thiogochangamides A and B, from bacteria. Their absolute configurations, previously unresolved within the thioviridamide family, were fully assigned through various chemical derivatizations and computational analysis ...

Evaluasi Kesuburan Tanah Untuk Pertanaman Tebu Di Kabupaten Rembang, Jawa Tengah / Evaluation of Soil Fertility to Sugarcane at Rembang District, Central Java [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Rembang District is an area of Central Java production center which has the main characteristics dominated by dry land. Dry land issues related to the low availability of water and nutrients. It determines the area of soil fertility conditions.

Diversity of Pharmaceuticals Enhances Antibiotic Resistance in the Invertebrate Gut via Biofilm‐Mediated Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pharmaceutical diversity acts as an independent driver of antibiotic resistance in soil invertebrates. While bulk soil remains unaffected, the collembolan gut microbiome exhibits significant resistance gene enrichment under complex chemical exposure and diurnal warming.

Bioenergy Cropping Reduces the Spatiotemporal Scaling of Soil Bacterial Biodiversity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Consistent with patterns observed in plant and animal communities, soil bacterial communities exhibit significant species–time–area and phylogenetic–time–area relationships independent of nested structure. Bioenergy cropping significantly reduces the spatiotemporal scaling rates, particularly in sandy loam soils.
