CHEMICAL RAH, TRANSPORT:

Chemical & Engineering News Archive, 1991
Rail tankcar chemical spills continue to draw public and government concern. California was hit last week with its second rail accident releasing a hazardous chemical in less than a month, when 14 container cars of a Southern Pacific train derailed on July 28 in Sea Cliff.

Characterization of chemical agent transport in paints

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2013
A combination of vacuum-based vapor emission measurements with a mass transport model was employed to determine the interaction of chemical warfare agents with various materials, including transport parameters of agents in paints. Accurate determination of mass transport parameters enables the simulation of the chemical agent distribution in a material

Chemical Transport Modelling

2011
A model in the here discussed form is first of all a description of complex processes in nature. This starts with a description by words or graphics (conceptual model) and goes up to complex mathematical or numerical simulation models that run on supercomputers. The complexity of a model is determined by several factors.

Chemical transport ofβ-Ga2O3 using chlorine as a transporting agent

Journal of Materials Science, 1986
The chemical transport of Ga2O3 with chlorine as a transporting agent has been investigated. Thermochemical properties of gallium chlorides have been considered on the basis of literature data. Thermodynamic analysis of transport reactions at 600 to 1500 K has been performed and GaCl3 was found the predominant gallium chloride in the vapour phase.

Charge Transport in Chemically Doped 2D Graphene

Physical Review Letters, 2008
We report on a numerical study of electronic transport in chemically doped 2D graphene materials. By using ab initio calculations, a self-consistent scattering potential is derived for boron and nitrogen substitutions, and a fully quantum-mechanical Kubo-Greenwood approach is used to evaluate the resulting charge mobilities and conductivities of ...

Chemical Pollution from Transportation Vehicles*

School Science and Mathematics, 1968
Recent publicity on electrically powered vehicles notwithstanding, the gasoline engine will probably be the principal power plant for passenger cars for at least the next decade. Chemical pollutants discharged by the gasoline engine are now under partial control.

Transport-driven chemical oscillations: a review

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics
We review possible routes that can lead to periodic compositional changes in chemical systems due to transport-driven instabilities, and related impacts on fundamental and applied problems.

Long-range transport of organic chemicals in the environment

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 2007
AbstractThe long-range transport (LRT) of organic chemicals in the environment is reviewed, with particular focus on the role of environmental fate and transport models and the relationship between model results and field data. Results from generic multimedia box models, spatially resolved multimedia box models, and atmospheric transport models are ...
