The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Pre-treatment chemicals

Filtration & Separation, 1995
Abstract A major consideration, in relation to solid/liquid separation processes, is the selection of pre-treatment chemicals. These range from simple inorganic salts which effect changes in pH, zeta potential etc., to speciality products such as synthetic polyelectrolytes and surfactant dewatering aids.

Chemical-biological Treatment Versus Chemical Treatment — A Case Study

1988
In Finland, there are 578 municipal wastewater treatment plants (1987), out of which 61 use chemical treatment (wastewater flow 13%), Figure 1. Most of the chemical treatment plants were constructed in the 1970’s.

Chemical burns: Pathophysiology and treatment

Burns, 2010
Chemical burns continue to pose a variety of dilemmas to the clinician managing such cases. Chemical Treatment of External Otitis

Southern Medical Journal, 1977
From 1962 through 1969, 2,008 cases of external otitis were treated chemically. The auditory canal was cleaned and a gauze wick saturated with 20% silver nitrate solution was introduced. The next day the wick was replaced with one saturated with Burow's solution. After two to three days, this wick was removed and the canal cleaned.

Chemical Blepharitis Following Drug Treatment

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1983
During the past two years at the L.S.U. Eye Center, we have seen more than six cases of unilateral blepharitis, although published reports of this condition are infrequent. Blepharitis is usually thought to be caused by seborrhea or Staphylococcus infection, but we have found that the isolation of Staphylococcus from the meibomian glands is ...

The Treatment of Chemical Dependence

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1989
To the Editor.— I was amazed and dismayed after reading the brief communication by Dr Weiss entitled "Relapse to Cocaine Abuse After Initiating Desipramine Treatment." 1 I was amazed that the article, tantamount to the reporting of reactions in patients with known penicillin allergy given penicillin, would be published in a reputable medical journal ...
