A simplified direct on-chip forward or reverse immunoassay for understanding protein-protein interactions in the serum

open access: yes, 2022
a  Surface chemical   modified with activated sophorolipids in combination with 16-amino-1-hexadecanethiol hydrochloride and displayed recognition of serum proteins on the biochip was conducted. Strategies for on-chip immunoassay included forward assay,

Chemiluminescence immunoassay of aldosterone in serum

open access: yesClinical Chemistry, 1991
Abstract A chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLI) for the direct measurement of aldosterone in serum was developed with aminobutylethyl isoluminol (ABEI) as the label. In this competitive assay the samples are incubated with sample, antibody, aldosterone-carboxymethyl oxime-ABEI, and paramagnetic particles coated with second antibody. After

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

Simultaneous determination of chloramphenicol, florfenicol and florfenicol amine in ham sausage with a hybrid chemiluminescent immunoassay

open access: yes, 2013
A novel chemiluminescent immunoassay utilising two types of primary antibodies (murine monoclonal antibody and rabbit polyclonal antibody) and two types of horseradish peroxidase–labelled secondary antibodies was established for simultaneously detecting ...

Tumour‐proximal deep serum proteomics identifies biomarkers associated with ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
New biomarkers are needed for early ovarian cancer detection. Ovarian (tumour‐proximal) and peripheral vein serum from healthy women and patients with benign or malignant tumours underwent nanoparticle‐enriched deep proteomics. Ovarian serum yielded more protein identifications and revealed tumour‐reflective signatures.

Predictive Ability of Plasma p‐tau217 for β‐Amyloid Status: A Prospective Multicenter Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Plasma tau phosphorylated at threonine 217 (p‐tau217) measured with fully automated platforms has shown high accuracy for Alzheimer's disease (AD) diagnosis, but real‐world multicenter data remain limited. We aimed to validate the diagnostic performance of p‐tau217 for identifying AD pathology in a real‐world multicenter cohort ...

A comparison of 7 commercial anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody immunoassays

open access: yesArchives of Medical Science, 2020
Introduction Serological testing in SARS-CoV-2 infection is gaining both patients’ and clinicians’ attention. Antibody assessment has potential multidirectional utility, hampered by the scarcity of clinical validation studies of the tests available on ...
