Chemometric Model for Rapid Determination of Syringyl/Guaiacyl Ratio in Non‐Wood by FT‐NIR Spectroscopic Data

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 6, Issue 1, June 2025.
ABSTRACT The present study is to develop a cost‐effective, non‐destructive and rapid method for quantification of syringyl/guaiacyl (S/G) ratio content in non‐wood lignin, which is based on FT‐NIR spectroscopic data and chemometric modelling techniques. The S/G ratio in 22 non‐wood lignins was determined by wet chemical method.

Multi-block chemometric approaches to the unsupervised spectral characterization of geological samples [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
As an example for the potential use of multi-block chemometric methods to provide improved unsupervised characterization of compositionally complex materials through the integration of multi-modal spectrometric data sets, we analysed spectral data derived from five field instruments (one XRF, two NIR, and two FT-Raman), collected on 76 bedrock samples ...

Release Monitoring and Detection of Formulated Solid Nanoparticle–Conjugated Nicotine in Blood and Urine Using Electrochemical Technique

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 6, Issue 1, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Tobacco (nicotine) has been reported as one of the worst global public health pandemics in history, claiming about 8 million lives annually. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), nicotine accounts for about 7 million deaths of firsthand users and over 1.3 million morbidities of secondhand users.
