Timing and sequencing of chemoradiotherapy

1995
There are three main objectives in the treatment of cancer: (1) curing disease, (2) keeping the morbidity of treatment to a minimum, and (3) preserving function and cosmesis. Chemoradiotherapy for lung cancer

Expert Opinion on Pharmacotherapy, 2005
Chemoradiotherapy is a standard treatment for both unresectable locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer and limited-stage small cell lung cancer. Chemotherapy and chemoradiotherapy for esophageal cancer

Critical Reviews in Oncology/Hematology, 1998
Carcinoma of the esophagus is a highly virulent disease. Although surgery has generally been considered the standard therapy for local regionally confined esophageal cancer, the results remained poor with 5year survivals of 6–24% in Western countries [1]. Chemoradiotherapy in the treatment of rectal cancer

Hematology/Oncology Clinics of North America, 2002
The integration of radiotherapy to the adjuvant treatment of rectal cancer was prompted by the predominance of locoregional failures after curative surgery. This characteristic in the pattern of failure is one of the main reasons adjuvant radiotherapy plays a greater role in rectal cancer than in colon cancer.
