Tecticornia lylei seeds germinate optimally under cooler conditions in constant darkness and can tolerate high levels of salt and moisture stress. However, as temperatures increase, tolerance to these stresses is reduced, and germination becomes both delayed and reduced.

Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) is a highly stable, seed‐borne tobamovirus that threatens global cucurbit production.
