ABSTRACT Farber's lipogranulomatosis (FL) is an autosomal recessive lipid storage disorder, arising as a consequence of genetic acid ceramidase deficiency. Clinically, it presents as severe arthritis, voice hoarseness, and widespread, painful subcutaneous nodules (SCN).

Superpotentials for superconformal Chern–Simons theories from representation theory [PDF]
These notes provide a detailed account of the universal structure of superpotentials defining a large class of superconformal Chern–Simons theories with matter, many of which appear as the low-energy descriptions of multiple M2-brane configurations.

Axion‐Like Interactions and CFT in Topological Matter, Anomaly Sum Rules and the Faraday Effect
This review investigates the connection between chiral anomalies and their manifestation in topological materials, using both perturbative methods based on ordinary quantum field theory and conformal field theory (CFT). It emphasizes the role of CFT in momentum space for parity‐odd correlation functions, and their reconstruction by the inclusion of a ...

Solitons in low-dimensional sigma models [PDF]
The aim of this thesis is to study topological soliton solutions in classical field theories, called sigma models, on a three-dimensional space. In chapter 1 we review the general field-theoretical framework of classical soliton solutions and exemplify ...

Sources for Chern-Simons theories
The coupling between Chern-Simons Theories and matter sources defined by branes of different dimensionalities is examined. It is shown that the standard coupling to membranes, such as the one found in supergravity or in string theory, does not operate in

5d-4d correspondence in twisted M-theory on a conifold
We study twisted M-theory in a general conifold background, and describe it in terms of a 5d non-commutative Chern-Simons-matter theory, which is equivalent to 5d non-commutative Chern-Simons theory for a supergroup.

The Iwasawa invariants of Zpd${\mathbb {Z}}_{p}^{\,d}$‐covers of links
Abstract Let p$p$ be a prime number and let d∈Z>0$d\in {\mathbb {Z}}_{>0}$. In this paper, following the analogy between knots and primes, we study the p$p$‐torsion growth in a compatible system of (Z/pnZ)d$({\mathbb {Z}}/p^n{\mathbb {Z}})^d$‐covers of 3‐manifolds and establish several analogues of Cuoco–Monsky's multivariable versions of Iwasawa's ...

Chern-Simons theory and topological strings [PDF]
We review the relation between Chern-Simons gauge theory and topological string theory on noncompact Calabi-Yau spaces. This relation has made possible to give an exact solution of topological string theory on these spaces to all orders in the string coupling constant.
