Liver Fibrosis: Molecular Pathogenesis and Therapeutic Interventions

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
We systematically summarized the etiologies, diagnostic approaches, and pathogenic mechanisms of liver fibrosis. Also, the therapeutic interventions for liver fibrosis were systematically classified into two main categories: etiological treatment and mechanism‐based antifibrotic therapies.

Integrating measurement and simulation for evaluation of patient‐specific whole‐body dosimetry in clinical BNCT

open access: yesMedical Physics, Volume 53, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Background Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is a treatment modality that utilises high intensity neutron beam in combination with a boron drug to target cancer cells at the cellular level. Despite decades of research in this field, there are very few reports on out‐of‐field patient dose of BNCT.

Posterior Intercostal Arteriovenous Malformation Mimicking a Pleural Mass: A Diagnostic Pitfall

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
We report a case of congenital posterior intercostal arteriovenous malformation that appeared as a pleural mass on routine chest computed tomography (CT). Pre‐biopsy ultrasound revealed pulsatile vascular flow, prompting CT angiography (CTA) that confirmed the diagnosis and prevented unnecessary biopsy.

Oesophagogastrostomy Using Double‐Flap Technique Following Resection of an Extensive Leiomyosarcoma in a Cat

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.
A cat with an extensive esophagogastric leiomyosarcoma underwent distal esophagectomy and proximal gastrectomy, followed by esophagogastrostomy using the double‐flap technique (DFT). Reconstruction with DFT was feasible and postoperative complications including leakage, stricture, and reflux were not observed; oral feeding resumed on postoperative day (
