The relation between the quality of meat and feed in chick

Stress based on high temperature and humidity reduces the production performance of fast-growing broilers and causes high mortality. Temperatures higher than optimum have been applied to broilers in the embryonic period in order to overcome thermal ...

The effects of in ovo injection of synbiotic on hatchability, chick quality, blood indices and performance of newly hatched chicks of Japanese Quail [PDF]
Introduction: The embryonic stage is the most critical and sensitive period in development of organisms especially the birds. In ovo injection is a good instrument for feeding the essential nutrients to growing embryo in birds.

Nutritional Qualities of Stabilized and Raw Rice Bran for Chicks
Rice bran either raw or processed in an extrusion cooker at 130 C was fed to meat strain chickens for 25 days after hatch. Either full fat or hexane-extracted rice bran was placed in the diet at the equivalent of 60% full fat bran. Raw full fat bran for one diet was stored at -23 C until fed, whereas rice bran for all other diets was stored at 32 C ...

Prospects for transgenesis in the chick [PDF]
Research to develop a useful method for genetic modification of the chick has been on-going since the first demonstrations in the mouse in the 1980s that genetic modification is an invaluable tool for the study of gene function. Manipulation of the chick

SUMMARY Nutritional and environmental conditions influence broiler flock performance. Besides these factors, other less-well-understood factors, such as incubating egg characteristics, affect the embryonic life of chicks. This study demonstrated that egg storage depressed egg albumen Haugh units (HU) and chick quality; these effects of storage were ...

EFFECT OF THERMAL STIMULATION IN EMBRYOS FROM COBB®GENETIC STRAIN UNDER COMMERCIAL SCALE [PDF]
Studies aimed at producing stronger birds and with better growth performance are being developed involving artificial incubation. To that extent, thermal stimulation by the heat of 1.39 ºC and 1ºC above the standard, and by cold of 36 ºC fixed, were ...

Comparative analysis of hatcheries contribution to poor development of day-old chicks based on biological and immunological performance [PDF]
Background and Aim: The quality of day-old chicks is a cornerstone to successful poultry production. Chicks with a poor quality start slowly in the field and may have high feed intake, poor growth rate, and poor feed conversion ratio.

The chicken embryo and its micro environment during egg storage and early incubation [PDF]
When egg storage periods are prolonged (>7 days), hatchability and chick quality declines. The reason for this decline has been investigated, but is still not completely understood.
