Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

Origins of Heteroploidy in Chicken Embryos

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1981
Abstract INTRODUCTION In man and the agriculturally important ungulates 25 to 40% of fertilized eggs do not result in living, healthy young. Losses occur as early embryonic deaths, abortions, stillbirths, or deaths of neonates. Most of the loss occurs at early developmental stages, i.e., as early embryo death.

Engineered Microvascular Model of the Blood–Brain–Tumor Barrier Reveals Endothelial Remodeling in Diffuse Midline Glioma

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a patient‐derived, functional microfluidic model of the diffuse midline glioma (DMG) blood–brain–tumor barrier (BBTB) comprised of endothelial cells, astrocytes, pericytes, and tumor cells. The system forms perfusable microvasculature, reveals the BBTB retains vascular integrity, identifies DMG‐specific transcriptomic changes distinct from

Establishing an induced infertile chicken line for efficient germline transmission of exogenous PGCs

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Agriculture
Primordial germ cells (PGCs) are the stem-cell population of adult animal gametes, which develop into sperm or eggs. It can be propagated in vitro and injected into the host chicken for genome editing to obtain germline chimeric chicken.

Multifunctional Thiolated Hyaluronic Acid‐graft‐PEDOT Dressing With Antifouling, On‐Demand Drug Delivery and Electrical Stimulation for Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional P(EDOT‐co‐EDOT‐g‐THA) dressing acts as a dynamic biointerface integrating antifouling capability, on‐demand drug delivery, and electrical stimulation. It achieves electrochemically triggered thiolated hyaluronic acid (THA) release while modulating cellular responses for wound healing application.

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...

The Quality of Hatching Egg and Development of Embryonic Somites in Kampung and Sentul Chickens

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Peternakan
Kampung and Sentul chickens are Indonesian local chicken breeds that are widely developed by breeding companies as strains for meat production. The genetic differences among these chicken strains can impact the quality of the hatching eggs they produce ...

Evidence for Itinerant Ferromagnetic Flat Bands Producing Large Transverse Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Itinerant ferromagnetic flat bands are demonstrated in GdCo5 with a high Curie temperature of 940K, a stacked honeycomb–kagome lattice, through angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy and magneto‐thermoelectric measurements. These topological flat bands generate large Berry curvaturte, producing gigantic anomalous Nernst effect with record‐high ...

Bubble Formation Control: Fabrication of Centimeter‐Sized Tissue‐Like Constructs by Catalase‐Coated Oxygen‐Releasing Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐releasing hydrogels are widely used to support cell survival in 3D cultures and to promote wound healing. However, incorporating catalase to convert H2O2 into O2 often generates additional oxygen bubbles, leading to material instability which rarely addressed.
