Kelp‐boulder transplants for habitat restoration

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Degraded habitats present a major barrier to the survival and recovery of threatened marine species, particularly where structural or biogenic complexity has been lost, and natural regeneration ability is uncertain. Despite growing interest in habitat restoration, techniques rarely deliver rapid improvements at the necessary ...

Spatial and temporal evolution of a coastal erg margin: the Middle Jurassic Page Sandstone, southern Utah, USA

open access: yesSedimentology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aeolian deflationary events are erosive to static stages where sediment supply is insufficient to support bedform migration and preservation in the rock record. In the vicinity of shallow‐marine environments, inland rises of relative water table and associated generation of deflationary super surfaces may be driven by the onset of ...

Infection with the Neorickettsial Organism Stellantchasmus falcatus Agent in an Arctic Fox (Vulpes lagopus)

open access: yesVeterinary Clinical Pathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 1‐year‐old female‐intact arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) presented for diarrhea, lethargy, severe thrombocytopenia, and hyperbilirubinemia. Blood film evaluation revealed intracytoplasmic coccoid bacteria within moderate numbers of leukocytes consistent with infection by a rickettsial organism.

Linguistic Justice in World Englishes: A View From Cultural Appropriation

open access: yesWorld Englishes, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article highlights the need to better clarify what we understand by linguistic justice. Failure to do so poses the danger that the concept not only remains something we may clamour for but is also one that we are unable or unwilling to recognize should we ever encounter it.
