Annals of Internal Medicine, 1976Late effects of childhood cancer in 142 patients, presently aged 18 years and older, were examined with a medical record review and questionnaire survey. Seventy-four patients (52%) had major defects in treated organs, while 17 (12%) developed second primary neoplasms (10 malignancies and 7 benign tumors).

The Lancet, 1974Abstract Inheritance of neoplasms in childhood and genetic effects of tumour therapy have been examined in progeny of 46 childhood-cancer survivors, 17 males and 29 females. 107 pregnancies were recorded: 92 (86%) live births, 12 (11%) spontaneous abortions, and 3 (3%) induced abortions.
