Comprehensive Evaluation of 65 Leafy Mustard Cultivars for Chilling Tolerance to Low Temperature Stress at the Seedling Stage

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Mustard is an important cash crop of the genus Brassica in the family Cruciferae. Low temperature is an important environmental factor limiting the growth of mustard.

When Law Frees Us to Speak [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A central aim of online abuse is to silence victims. That effort is as regrettable as it is successful. In the face of cyberharassment and sexualprivacy invasions, women and marginalized groups retreat from online engagement.

Interactions between Molten High‐Silicon Electrical Steels and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

PBF‐LB/M of Ti‐6Al‐4V: High‐Pressure Solution Treatment and Aging for Applications in a Sustainable Aerospace

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing (AM) allows great geometric freedom for lightweight components. As parts are progressively optimized exploiting potentials in AM leading in smaller material cross sections, high pressure solution treating and aging (STA) treatments show an enormous potential for strongly improving material properties.

Recent Developments on the Role of Ethylene in the Ripening of Climacteric Fruit [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
It has long been recognised that ethylene plays a major role in the ripening process of climacteric fruit. A more thorough analysis, however, has revealed that a number of biochemical and molecular processes associated with climacteric fruit ripening ...

Manufacturing Continuous Fiber‐Reinforced Printing Filaments: Development of a Post‐Consolidation Unit

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel, temperature‐controlled post‐consolidation unit is developed to test its potential to improve the melt impregnation process used to manufacture continuous fiber‐reinforced filaments for additive manufacturing of high‐performance thermoplastics.

Insights on the enhancement of chilling tolerance in Rice through over-expression and knock-out studies of OsRBCS3

open access: yesPlant Signaling & Behavior
Chilling stress is an important environmental factor that affects rice (Oryza sativa L.) growth and yield, and the booting stage is the most sensitive stage of rice to chilling stress. In this study, we focused on OsRBCS3, a rice gene related to chilling

The global chilling effects of antidumping. [PDF]

open access: yes
Advocates of antidumping (AD) laws downplay their effects by arguing that the trade flows that are subject to AD are small and their distortions negligible.

Reframing Libel - Taking All Rights Seriously and where it leads us [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In preparing this paper, we have returned to first principles and re-evaluated fundamental aspects of libel law, its purposes, its substance, and its processes.
