The ovarian and uterine arteries in the chinchilla (Chinchilla lanigera)

open access: yesJournal of the South African Veterinary Association, 2010
The purpose of this study was to describe arteries supplying the ovaries and uterus in the chinchilla. Five healthy adult female chinchillas were used. In order to reveal the arterial network by dissecting under a stereoscopic microscope, latex coloured with red ink was injected through the common carotid artery.

Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

Dosing study on the effectiveness of salicylate/N-acetylcysteine for prevention of noise-induced hearing loss

open access: yesNoise and Health, 2010
The efficacy of three different doses of sodium salicylate (SAL) in combination with one dose of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) to prevent noise-induced hearing loss was studied in chinchillas.

Biological features of the formation of meat productivity of rabbits of chin-chilla breed depending on crossing with meat breeds

open access: yesНауковий вісник Львівського національного університету ветеринарної медицини та біотехнологій імені С.З. Гжицького. Серія: Сільськогосподарські науки, 2023
Rabbit breeding is a special branch of animal husbandry characterized by high fertility and growth intensity. The main way of intensification of rabbit farming involves such selection measures that adapt rabbit populations of keeping in industrial ...

Mechanisms of sensorineural cell damage, death and survival in the cochlea. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The majority of acquired hearing loss, including presbycusis, is caused by irreversible damage to the sensorineural tissues of the cochlea. This article reviews the intracellular mechanisms that contribute to sensorineural damage in the cochlea, as well ...

Flipping the Card With Enantiodivergent Organocatalysis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This minireview elaborates on recent organocatalytic strategies for achieving enantiodivergence—the ability to access both product enantiomers using a single chiral catalyst. It highlights how achiral stimuli, such as solvent polarity and chemical additives, along with minimal catalyst modifications, trigger stereochemical inversions in reactions ...

Exposición crónica a hongos productores de aflatoxinas relacionada a daños hepáticos en chinchillas (chinchilla lanigera) destinadas a la producción de piel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Chinchilla pelt is a rare and expensive fur. Therefore, breeding these animals is a profitable activity. Confirmed acute cases of aflatoxin intoxication have been reported in Argentinean farms.

The Arabidopsis Malectin-Like/LRR-RLK IOS1 is Critical for BAK1-Dependent and BAK1-Independent Pattern-Triggered Immunity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Plasma membrane-localized pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) such as FLAGELLIN SENSING2 (FLS2), EF-TU RECEPTOR (EFR) and CHITIN ELICITOR RECEPTOR KINASE 1 (CERK1) recognize microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs) to activate pattern-triggered ...
