[[abstract]]見系二等文白讀在漢語方言的分佈很廣,大約可分為六種類型:長江沿岸、瀏陽、萬榮、汾西、文榮、廈門。這六型具體而微反映漢語方雷發展南北異趣:華北似乎有中原核心與邊緣(或外圍)的差異,華南似乎有長江沿岸與非沿岸的分野。黃河以北與長江以南各有其保守與創新。由於文讀係一波一波擴散,甲方言的白讀在乙方雷可能仍為文讀,這或許與文教勢力大小有關。漢語語音史上、、顎化*是一個賡續不絕的過程,舊說中的年代斷限往往受韻書束縛,不足採信。
