MST Radars of Chinese Meridian Project: System Description and Atmospheric Wind Measurement

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2016
Based on the construction of the Chinese Meridian Project, two mesosphere, stratosphere, and troposphere (MST) radars were designed and located in Beijing and Chongyang, Hubei province, China, to investigate the atmospheric dynamics in the troposphere, stratosphere, and mesosphere.

Study on Real-time Monitoring Method for Dust-scattered Stray Light in the Spectral Imaging CoronaGraph of the Chinese Meridian Project Phase II

Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract The dust-scattered stray light in an inner-occulted coronagraph mainly arises from dust particles on the surfaces of the objective lens. Due to the random accumulation of dust on the lens surfaces, it is challenging to monitor this type of stray light and no application can be used for its real-time monitor in the past.

Automatic Spread F Detection and classification at Hainan Station of Chinese Meridian Project

2023
The spread F phenomenon (SF), i.e., the spread characteristics on F trace in ionogram, is considered to be caused by ionospheric disturbances. The SF image features are considered to be corresponding to different physical mechanism. According to the URSI handbook of ionogram interpretation and reduction, depending on the shape of diffusion on ionogram,

Modulation of the TEC in the Midlatitude Region by ULF Waves: Preliminary Conjunctional Observations between LFWR and GNSS in the Chinese Meridian Project

Previous research has established that in geospace, the total electron content (TEC) in the ionosphere can be modulated efficiently by ultralow frequency (ULF) waves in high-latitude regions. However, the correlations between TEC variations and ULF waves in middle-latitude and low-latitude regions remain inadequately explored.

Midlatitude Neutral Wind Response during the Mother’s Day Super-Intense Geomagnetic Storm Using Observations from the Chinese Meridian Project

The super-intense geomagnetic storm of May 2024, known as the Mother's Day superstorm, is the largest event of its kind in the past two decades. During this storm, the coupled ionosphere-thermosphere system was significantly impacted, accompanied by strong disturbances.
