Orientation independent compact chipless RFID tag
2012 IEEE International Conference on RFID-Technologies and Applications (RFID-TA), 2012A design concept of a compact printable orientation independent chipless radio frequency identification tag is presented with near-field and far-field reading techniques. The tag consists of a circular patch loaded with multiple slot ring resonators and it has the advantage to be read from any orientation with the reader due to its symmetric structure.

IR-UWB-based chipless RFID system
annals of telecommunications - annales des télécommunications, 2013This paper presents a chipless radio frequency identification (RFID) system, based on impulse radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) technology. This UWB-RFID system consists of a transmitter, a receiver, two tapered slot antennas, and several chipless tags. Covering the lower UWB frequency band in 3–5 GHz, the transmitter integrated circuit generates signals ...

Exploitation of chipless RFID technology for humidity monitoring
2017 XXXIInd General Assembly and Scientific Symposium of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI GASS), 2017A novel ink-jet printed chipless RFID humidity sensor is presented. The sensor, based on a finite Artificial Impedance Surface (AIS), is ink-jet printed on a thin sheet of Mitsubishi paper, which is placed on a metal-backed cardboard layer. The frequency response of the AIS provides three deep nulls thanks to the three nested loops that constitute the ...

A narrowband chipless multiresonator tag for UHF RFID
Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2013In this work, a narrowband fully passive printable RFID chipless tag, working in the UHF band, is presented. The tag consists of two cross-polarized transmitting and receiving microstrip broadband circular monopole antennas, loaded with multiple cascaded resonators, each one unambiguously corresponding to one data bit.
