Multiresonator based chipless RFID tag and dedicated RFID reader
2010 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, 2010A RFID system with a chipless RFID tag on a 90-µm thin Taconic TF290 laminate is presented. The chipless tag encodes data into the spectral signature in both magnitude and phase of the spectrum. The design and operation of a prototype RFID reader is also presented.

Compact single‐layer depolarizing chipless RFID tag
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2016ABSTRACTWe present the first single layer depolarizing chipless RFID tag. The tag is formed by a set of asymmetric hairpin resonators, improving the tag's coding density when compared with previous depolarizing tags. The single layer characteristics of the tags make it possible to print them directly on items or embed them in low profile objects like ...

Printable Chipless RFID Tags for IoT Applications
2018 1st International Conference on Computer Applications & Information Security (ICCAIS), 2018The recent growth in identification, tracking, and sensing applications for internet of things (IoT) has pushed the RFID technology to gain much attention due to its remarkable advantages compared to conventional identification techniques. A new chipless RFID tag based on multiresonator is discussed in this paper.

Transceiver Design for Chipless RFID Tag Reader
2012This chapter focuses on the design of three generations of chipless RFID tag reader transceivers. The Gen-1 and Gen-2 transceiveres operate between 2 and 2.5 GHz and are designed to read the 6-bit proof-of-concept chipless tag. However, the Gen-1 reader only has amplitude detection capability, while the Gen-2 reader has amplitude and phase detection ...

Toward EPC global chipless RFID tag design
2017Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) is a disruptive technology that has penetrated almost every facade of modern civilization. RFID is an automated identification system that uses radio frequency waves to transmit data between a tag and a reader. Penetration of RFID in low cost item level tagging is hindered due to the high price of tags.
