Robust Detection of A Moving Chipless RFID Tag

open access: yes, 2020
The chipless RFID tag can be attached to a mobile object such as a product on a conveyor belt, an item dropping into a shopping trolley basket, a human or an animal in which the information is more difficult to detect than in the case where the tag is attached to a stationary object.

Phase-only encoding for novel chipless RFID tag

open access: yes2014 IEEE RFID Technology and Applications Conference (RFID-TA), 2014
A periodic surface printed on a grounded dielectric slab is employed as a chipless RFID tag in order to realize a phase-only encoding. The variation of the length of a single loop in the unit cell is addressed to verify the possibility of encoding the information by exploiting the difference between the TE and TM phase response of the tag.

Microstrip Spiral Resonator for the UWB Chipless RFID Tag [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A resonator type chipless RFID tag comprised of two separate antennas, one transmission line with spiral resonators. The key element of a chipless RFID tag is its passive spiral microstrip resonator circuit which contains the data bits for the tag. To decrease the dimension of resonator in chipless tag is still challenging task.

Chipless RFID tag for IoT applications

2016 IEEE 59th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2016
Radio Frequency Identification is a rapidly growing technology. Recent advances in wireless technology pave a path for integrating sensors with RFID system. The proposed tag consists of multiple resonators which are used for encoding the data. The tag can also be used for sensing applications by integrating dedicated resonator with the sensor element ...

UCR: An unclonable chipless RFID tag

2016 IEEE International Symposium on Hardware Oriented Security and Trust (HOST), 2016
While Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has become popular for commodity and asset tracking and management, the relatively higher price of RFID tags limits its application in the supply chain of low-cost commodities. Recently, cost-effective chipless RFID tags that do not contain a microchip in the transponder have been gaining more attention from ...

Design of Chipless RFID Tag by Using Miniaturized Open-Loop Resonators

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2018
In this paper, an open-loop resonator with fragment-loading structure is used for the first time in the design of radar cross section-based chipless radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag.

Chipless RFID Tag Localization

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2013
A novel localization technique for frequency-domain chipless RF identification (RFID) tag is proposed. A short-duration ultra-wideband impulse radio signal interrogates the tags, and multiple receivers in the interrogation zone capture the backscattered signal from the tags.
