The electroweak chiral Lagrangian reanalyzed [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2000
44 pages, Revtex. v2: Sections II and III interchanged. New section II now self-contained. Discussions improved in sections I, II, V.C and VI. Conclusions unchanged.

Fixed points of (0,2) Landau-Ginzburg renormalization group flows and the chiral algebra

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We discuss renormalization group flows in two-dimensional quantum field theories with (0,2) supersymmetry. We focus on theories with UV described by a Landau-Ginzburg Lagrangian and use the chiral algebra to constrain the IR dynamics. We present examples

Chiral Lagrangians and the QCD string [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1999
We propose a method to derive the low-energy efective action of QCD assuming that the long-distance properties of strong interactions can be described by a string theory. We bypass the usual problems related to the existence of the tachyon and absence of the adequate Adler zero by using a sigma model approach where excitations above the correct ...

Isospin Symmetry Breaking in Non-Perturbative QCD

open access: yesPhysical Sciences Forum, 2023
At finite isospin chemical potential μI, the tension between measured decays and partial branching ratios of neutral and charged bosons as functions of dimuon mass squared and the Standard Model (SM) isospin asymmetry can be analyzed in nonperturbative ...

Chiral Lagrangian for excited pions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1997
We construct a chiral Lagrangian containing besides the usual pion field (pi) also its first radial excitation (pi'). The Lagrangian is derived by bosonization of a Nambu--Jona-Lasinio quark model with separable non-local interactions, with form factors corresponding to 3-dimensional ground and excited state wave functions.

Low-energy effective description of dark $Sp(4)$ theories

open access: yesSciPost Physics, 2023
Strongly interacting massive particles are viable dark matter candidates. We consider a dark $Sp(4)$ gauge theory with $N_f=2$ fermions in the pseudo-real fundamental representation and construct the chiral low-energy effective theory.

Nonlinear (chiral) p-form electrodynamics

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
In our previous article Phys. Rev. Lett. 127 (2021) 271601, we announced a novel ‘democratic’ Lagrangian formulation of general nonlinear electrodynamics in four dimensions that features electric and magnetic potentials on equal footing. Here, we give an

QCD chiral Lagrangian on the lattice, strong coupling expansion and Ward identities with Wilson fermions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We discuss a general strategy to compute the coefficients of the QCD chiral Lagrangian using lattice QCD with Wilson fermions. This procedure requires the introduction of a lattice chiral Lagrangian as an intermediate step in the calculation.
