Potassium 4-azidobenzenesulfonate
In, K+·SO3–p-C6H4–N3−, the conformation angle of the azido group with respect to the benzene ring is 19.1 (3)°, so that the anion is chiral within the crystal structure. In addition, the crystal structure is also chiral (Sohncke space group).

Emerging chiral optics from chiral interfaces
Twisted atomic bilayers are emerging platforms for manipulating chiral light-matter interaction at the extreme nanoscale, due to their inherent magnetoelectric responses induced by the finite twist angle and quantum interlayer coupling between the atomic

Chiral molecular intercalation superlattices
The discovery of chiral-induced spin selectivity (CISS) opens up the possibility to manipulate spin orientation without external magnetic fields and enables new spintronic device designs1–4.

Realization of aligned three-dimensional single-crystal chromium nanostructures by thermal evaporation [PDF]
Aligned three-dimensional single-crystal chromium nanostructures are fabricated onto a silicon substrate by thermal evaporation in a conventional thermal evaporator, where the incident angle of Cr vapor flux with respect to the substrate surface normal ...

Tunable chiral photonic cavity based on multiferroic layers
Realization of externally tunable chiral photonic sources and resonators is essential for studying and functionalizing chiral matter. Here, oxide-based stacks of helical multiferroic layers are shown to provide a suitable, electrically-controllable medium to efficiently trap and filter purely chiral photonic fields.

Charge-4e superconductivity and chiral metal in 45°-twisted bilayer cuprates and related bilayers
The material realization of charge-4e/6e superconductivity (SC) is a big challenge. Here, we propose to realize charge-4e SC in maximally-twisted homobilayers, such as 45∘-twisted bilayer cuprates and 30∘-twisted bilayer graphene, referred to as twist ...

Circular Dichroism Reflectance Anisotropy of Chiral Atomically Thin Films
Recently, a technical modification of a Reflectance Anisotropy Spectroscopy (RAS) spectrometer has been proposed to investigate the circular dichroism (CD) of samples instead of the normally studied linear dichroism. CD-RAS measures the anisotropy of the
