Coexisting Rashba/Dresselhaus Spin Splitting in Solution‐Processed Bournonite Films Using Circular Photogalvanic Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Circular photogalvanic effect measurements and first‐principles calculations reveal spin‐splitting states in solution‐processed bournonite films (CuPbSbS3) due to structural and bulk inversion asymmetry. The results provide experimental confirmation of coexisting Rashba and Dresselhaus spin‐splitting states in this non‐centrosymmetric chalcogenide ...

Chiral Separation of Indapamide Enantiomers by Capillary Electrophoresis

open access: yesAdvanced Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2014
Purpose: Indapamide is probably the most frequently prescribed diuretic drug, generally being used for the treatment of hypertension. It contains a chiral center in its molecule; is marketed as a racemic mixture; but there are rather few studies ...

Chiral Nanohoops as an Efficient Spin Polarization System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral conjugated nanohoops with a central dibenzopentalene unit exhibit 90% spin polarization at low voltage and high conductivity. These properties make them ideal components in molecular spintronics applications. Abstract A central challenge in molecular spintronics is to achieve a high spin polarization at low operating voltages and ambient ...

Dynamical gauge fields and anomalous transport at strong coupling

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Anomalous transport coefficients are known to be universal in the absence of dynamical gauge fields. We calculate the corrections to these universal values due to dynamical gluon fields at strong coupling, at finite temperature and finite density, using ...

Rational Design of Printable Carbon Nanotube Transparent Conductive Films via Data‐Driven and Mechanistic Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A machine learning and simulation‐guided strategy is demonstrated for gentle, non‐sonication dispersion of carbon nanotubes, preserving structural integrity and performance. This approach enables transparent conductive films with low sheet resistance, high transmittance, and sub‐20 µm printability.

Chiral SURMOFs for Vibrational Circular Dichroism: Multiscale Modeling and Experimental Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The use of solid‐state vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) for MOFs is still somewhat unexplored, and in this work, it is shown that chiral surface‐anchored MOFs (SURMOFs) grown on CaF2 provide an excellent platform for VCD. Experimental results are validated through multiscale modeling, showing strong agreement across multiple spectroscopic ...

Temperature and eluent composition effects on enantiomer separation of carvedilol by high-performance liquid chromatography on immobilized amylose-based chiral stationary phases

open access: yesJournal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, 2019
Carvedilol is a chiral drug with potent antihypertensive and antianginal activities. Although it is clinically used as a racemic mixture, its enantiomers show different pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles.

Drug‐Free Thrombolysis Mediated by Physically Activated Micro/Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Overview of particle‐mediated thrombolytic effects (thermal, mechanical, and chemical) and their activating physical stimuli (light, ultrasound, and magnetic field) in drug‐free thrombolysis. ABSTRACT Thrombus‐associated disorders rank among the world's leading causes of death, with ischemic heart disease and stroke as the main contributors.
