Double Helical Plasmonic Antennas

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic double helical antennas funnel circularly polarized light to the nanoscale, offering strong chiroptical interaction and directional light emission. Extending a single helix design tool, this study combines numerical modeling with experimental validation, revealing large, broadband dissymmetry factors in the visible range.

Defects in Chiral Columnar Phases: Tilt Grain Boundaries and Iterated Moire Maps

open access: yes, 1995
Biomolecules are often very long with a definite chirality. DNA, xanthan and poly-gamma-benzyl-glutamate (PBLG) can all form columnar crystalline phases. The chirality, however, competes with the tendency for crystalline order. For chiral polymers, there

Emergence of Light‐Transforming Layered Hybrid Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The emerging class of light‐transforming layered halide perovskite materials is reviewed, outlining challenges for their development and perspectives toward application in the future. Abstract Layered hybrid halide perovskites (LHPs) have attracted considerable attention in optoelectronics.

Chiral phosphoric acid-catalyzed asymmetric synthesis of helically chiral, planarly chiral and inherently chiral molecules

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry
Chiral molecules, distinguished by nonsuperimposability with their mirror image, play crucial roles across diverse research fields. Molecular chirality is conventionally categorized into the following types: central chirality, axial chirality, planar ...

Chiral squaring [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2016
We construct the states and symmetries of N = 4 super-Yang-Mills by tensoring two N = 1 chiral multiplets and introducing two extra SUSY generators. This allows us to write the maximal N = 8 supergravity as four copies of the chiral multiplet. We extend this to higher dimensions and discuss applications to scattering amplitudes.

Large Anomalous and Topological Hall Effect and Nernst Effect in a Dirac Kagome Magnet Fe3Ge

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe3Ge, a Kagome‐lattice magnet, exhibits remarkable anomalous Hall and Nernst effects, with transverse thermoelectric conductivity surpassing or comaprable to some well‐known ferromagnets. First‐principles calculations attribute these to Berry curvature from massive Dirac gaps. Additionally, topological Hall and Nernst signals emerge from field‐induced

Ordering of the Heisenberg spin glass in two dimensions

open access: yes, 2003
The spin and the chirality orderings of the Heisenberg spin glass in two dimensions with the nearest-neighbor Gaussian coupling are investigated by equilibrium Monte Carlo simulations.

Supraparticles Composed of Graphitic Carbon Nitride Nanoparticles and Silica‐Supported Horseradish Peroxidase as Customizable Hybrid Catalysts for Photo‐Biocatalytic Cascade Reactions in Continuous Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein presented supraparticles combine the nanoparticulate photocatalyst graphitic carbon nitride with the enzyme horseradish peroxidase, which is immobilized on silica nanoparticles. In an optimized compatibility range, both catalysts operate effectively within the hybrid supraparticles and catalyze a cascade reaction consisting of the photocatalytic

Detecting Chirality in Two-Terminal Electronic Nanodevices

open access: yesNano letters (Print), 2020
Central to spintronics is the interconversion between electronic charge and spin currents, and this can arise from the chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect.
