3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Chiral and Chirality Discrimination on Helical Polyacetylenes
Synthesis and function of helical polyphenylacetylenes are briefly reviewed. Optically active helical polyphenylacetylenes were synthesized by polymerization of the corresponding chiral phenylacetylene monomers and their chiral recognition abilities were evaluated as a chiral stationary phase for HPLC.

Single‐crystal gold microplates are high‐performance nanomaterials with an impressive wafer‐based application space. Progress has, however, been tempered by an inability to exert synthetic control over microplate size, shape, and positioning. In this work, control over these parameters is demonstrated using a seed‐mediated synthesis that both confines ...

The pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and toxicity of spinosin: A mini review
Spinosin, a natural flavone-C-glycoside that is mainly isolated from the seeds of Ziziphus jujuba Mill. var. spinosa. It exerts the effects to ameliorate the neurological disorders, such as hypnosis effects, improvement of cognitive function, sedation ...

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

A dye‐based photoinitiator acting as a structure‐directing element, guides the formation of a cholesteric polymer network that behaves as a chirped photonic structure with dissipative chiral coupling. Photopolymerization freezes a depth‐dependent helical pitch, broadening the Bragg resonance spectrum.

Chirality-Induced Propagation Velocity Asymmetry
The spin-dependent propagation of electrons in helical nanowires is investigated. We show that the interplay of spin angular momentum and nanowire chirality, under spin–orbit interaction, lifts the symmetry between left and right propagating electrons ...
