Chirped synthetic-wavelength interferometry

Optics Letters, 1992
We demonstrate distance measurement by varying, or chirping, the synthetic wavelength in a two-color laser diode interferometer. An absolute accuracy of 3 microm is achieved over a 200-mm range, without the phase ambiguities or optical complexities normally associated with synthetic-wavelength interferometry. The fibercoupled experimental system uses a

Chirp evoked otoacoustic emissions

Hearing Research, 1994
The principles of short frequency sweeps (chirps) and their application to evoke transiently evoked otoacoustic emissions (TEOAE) are developed in comparison to using standard click stimuli. In contrast to click stimuli, chirp signals have the advantage of stimulating a freely selectable frequency range.

Directly Chirped Laser Source for Chirped-Pulse Amplification

Lasers, Sources and Related Photonic Devices, 2010
A programmable, all-fiber, chirped-pulse seed laser system based on direct phase modulation produces 2.5-ns optical pulses with 0.78-nm bandwidth centered at 1053 nm that are suitable for chirped-pulse amplification.

Compressive Chirp Transform for Estimation of Chirp Parameters

2019 27th European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO), 2019
This paper develops a new algorithm for estimating the parameters of multiple chirp signals in noise. The proposed method uses Compressive Sensing (CS) formulation of the Discrete Chirp Fourier Transform (DCFT) basis to achieve superior estimator performance.
