Winter biomass potential of four cover crop species: Wheat, rye, triticale, and canola
Abstract This study examines variability in predicted aboveground biomass (AGB) of winter cover crops (CCs) across Nebraska, focusing on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), rye (Secale cereale L.), triticale (× Triticosecale), and canola (Brassica napus L.).

Role of the Bridge Length and Structure in Photoinduced Mixed‐Valence Systems
A longer analog of the excited‐state Creutz–Taube ion displays, despite a donor–acceptor distance of 1 nm, substantial electronic coupling in the MLCT excited state, facilitated by bridging‐ligand planarization upon transient reduction. This results in a two‐order‐of‐magnitude extension of the MLCT lifetime to around 3 ns, despite a rather localized ...

Prediction‐Based Algorithms for Long‐Range High‐Speed Force Spectroscopy
ABSTRACT We present a high‐speed force microscopy platform mounted on a confocal microscope with a z sample stage enabling long‐range, high‐speed force spectroscopy measurements on biological samples. The control software is built on a field‐programmable gate array (FPGA)‐based data acquisition and processing system, complemented with a custom ...

Subseasonal Predictability of Weekly Rainfall and Rainy Season Onset Over East Africa
This study evaluates the subseasonal predictability of weekly rainfall and rainy season onset over East Africa using the ECMWF extended range forecast model. Results show strong skill in forecasting weekly rainfall up to 4 weeks ahead, with higher accuracy during the March–May ‘long rains’ season.

A novel approach for in situ benthic habitat characterization
Abstract Habitat heterogeneity is a key driver of temporal and spatial variability of subtidal marine benthic biodiversity. However, this makes it a challenging environment in which to measure and quantify the factors driving biodiversity in a consistent manner.

State of Climate Attribution Science in East Africa: A Systematic Review
Climate attribution research shows climate change intensified +50% of analyzed extreme events in East Africa. Limited data and capacity leave heatwaves, cyclones, and impacts on Small Island Developing States underexamined. Less than 50% of studies involve regional researchers; hence, greater local participation is essential for equitable, locally ...

Abstract Understanding the coastal zone of the Antarctic Ice Sheet (AIS), where it interacts with the Southern Ocean and warmer air masses, is crucial for predicting Antarctica's influence on the global climate and sea level. This region has multiple tipping mechanisms that could trigger large, rapid, and potentially irreversible changes in the AIS ...
